FORT MILL, S.C. -- Two men are in custody after shots were fired at a Fort Mill apartment complex, leading to a car chase with police, officials say.
According to the police report, on Saturday, Cordora Harris went to an apartment in the 200 block of Drane Circle to pick up his children from their mother. Harris told officers Irayain Mitchell opened the door and began to argue with him. Then, Harris reported that he ran through the parking lot towards his sister's apartment while Byers fired numerous shots in his direction, striking only an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.
Harris says Mitchell and Byers then fled in a 2000 silver Mazda Protege.
Harris ran back to the apartment to check on the welfare of his children, he told police, kicking in the front door, then kicking in an interior door to an upstairs bedroom.
