ANSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities in Anson County are investigating an overnight double shooting that left one person dead.
Deputies from the Anson County Sheriff's Office say 32-year-old Dorian Miles was killed and 33-year-old Mohammad Pressley, who lived at the home, was injured after a shooting around 3 a.m. at a residence on Branch Street near Highway 74.
Pressley was shot in the chest, according to authorities; he was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A person of interest has been taken into custody for questioning, the Sheriff's Office says, and no charges have been filed at this time.
The suspect and victims knew each other and were together before the shooting at a party, according to authorities.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting.
