CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified the man whose body was found last Thursday morning in northwest Charlotte.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police were called out to the 2400 block of Chamberlain Avenue, the Caraustar Recovered Fiber Group, to investigate after a body was found on the property.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old David Ben Willis, of Shelby.

Police say the Medical Examiner's Office ruled Willis' death accidental due to mechanical suffocation.
