CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte man is behind bars after fleeing from an officer with a small child in the car, police say.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested 25-year-old Antreze Praylor and charged him with attempting to elude law enforcement with a motor vehicle, aggressive driving and driving while license revoked.
Praylor was stopped for a traffic offense in the 5700 block of East Independence. Authorities say he initially pulled over, but then fled after a brief altercation with the officer. Speeds topped out in the 90-miles-per-hour range during the chase, officials say.
The officer says there was a small child in a carseat at the time of the pursuit.
