CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Davidson and Cornelius police responded to a road rage incident Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 77.

Officials said the incident happened on I-77 northbound, ending near exit 30 in the northern part of Mecklenburg County just after 6 p.m.

Police said someone in a blue Toyota Yaris threw a jack at a Lexus sedan and shattered its back window.  The driver of the Lexus pulled off the interstate at exit 30 along Griffith Street in Davidson.
