CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- A Catawba man has been sentenced to serve a minimum of 20 years on two counts each of felony rape of a child, first-degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child. 

Nicky Lee Anderson, 42, was sentenced Tuesday to serve no less than 20 years and up to 29 years in prison on the above-mentioned charges.

The U.S. Marshal Service arrested Anderson in Tallahassee, Fla. at a Barnes and Noble in April of 2013.

According to authorities, Nicky Lee Anderson, 41, was wanted by Catawba County Sheriff’s Office for alleged rape of a young victim on several separate occasions. The victim was under the age of 12, according to prosecutors.

Anderson will have to register as a sex offender and submit to satellite-monitoring for the rest of his  life upon his release from prison.
