CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Officials have revoked a Charlotte club’s alcohol license following a double-shooting there last week.

Jose Jesus Hernandez-Diaz died at the El Gavilian club on Driftwood Drive on Aug. 31. One other person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The ABC Commission cites violent crime as the reason for the suspension. This is the fourth time the group has suspended a liquor license for violence this year.

In a report released by the commission, officials also list several other instances of criminal behavior at the club within the last two years.
