STANLY COUNTY, N.C. -- The Stanly County Sheriff's Office arrested two people in connection with a November armed robbery and kidnapping of an elderly woman.
The Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Jason Michael Parrish, of Concord, and 23-year-old Heather Elizabeth Carpenter, of Locust, broke into a 75-year-old woman's home, held her at gunpoint, restricted her movements, and stole jewelry and cash with a value greater than $1000.
Parrish and Carpenter are both charged with felony first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and safecracking.
Parrish was arrested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, where he was served with the warrants on this crime. His bond was set at $175,000. He remains in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
His court date in Stanly County has not yet been set.
Carpenter was arrested and booked in to the Stanly County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $75,000.
A third person, 22-year-old Hunter Ray Scott, of Albemarle, was charged with felony accessory after the fact in connection with this crime. He was booked in to the Stanly County Detention Facility under a $7,500 bond.
