CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. -- An already known drug dealer was caught selling again in a local parking lot, says the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Drug investigators began looking in Nicholas Ryan Denius, 20, after tips led them to believe he was selling to high school students.

Agents say they witnessed him in a drug transaction in Walmart in Granite falls this week and took him into custody without incident.

Police say they found a quarter-pound of high grade marijuana in a search of his vehicle. It has a street value of $3,600. His vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.

Denius was out on bond following an incident in March of last year. The sheriff’s office says they caught him with a half-pound of marijuana and a marijuana a plant in that investigation.

Denius has been booked into jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
