LANCASTER, S.C. -- The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is searching for man in connection to a murder on Monday afternoon.
Deputies said Jeffery Lanard Roseborough, 30, shot and killed Gaeric Q. Johnson, 23, after a fight over a woman around 1 p.m.
Deputies are still searching for Roseborough.
Authorities said the investigation revealed that Johnson and Roseborough were involved in a relationship with the same woman which is believed to have led to the incident.
After the shooting, Johnson was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital where he died a short time later.
“We are thankful that we were able to get this case solved so quickly. Our investigators did a great job," Sheriff Barry S. Faile said. "My condolences go out to the family of Mr. Johnson and we will leave no stone unturned until Roseborough is in custody.”
