LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- Authorities in Lincoln County are continuing their investigation into a robbery in which the thieves ripped the doors off of a pharmacy.

Around 2:30 on the morning of Monday, January 31, the alarms began to sound at TAS Drugs in Lincoln County, alerting Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies to respond to the business in the 4400 block of West NC Highway 27.

Deputies arrived to find the rear door to the business completely torn off its hinges.

No one was found inside the building, and a search of the area did not turn up any suspects.

Officials say the store didn't appear to be ransacked, but the store's manager told authorities than a check of inventory revealed that more than $1000 in Hydrocodone was taken in the break-in.

If you have information on the pharmacy break-in, you're asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (704) 735-8208
