CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are searching for the driver who crashed into a home in east Charlotte and then took off running.
The crash happened on Washburn Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday. The collision left a hole on the side of a townhouse. The man who lives there told NBC Charlotte he was inside with his daughter when he heard a loud noise.
“I walked outside and seen this car pulling out of my bush,” said Perry Brewer.
“There was radiator fluid, (the) people inside (were) just screaming at each other,” said Brewer.
Police haven’t yet said what caused the crash. Police tell NBC Charlotte the driver got out and fled the scene.
The passenger inside the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
