FBI looking to ID attempted Charlotte bank robber

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Division of the FBI released three photographs of the suspect in an attempted bank robbery on Wendover Road on Tuesday.

Authorities say the State Employee's Credit Union in the 900 block of Wendover around 10:45 Tuesday morning.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male with sunken cheek bones, between the ages of 45 and 55. During the robbery, he was wearing a black and white long-sleeved plaid shirt, baseball hat, a hoodie and surgical gloves.

FBI officials say the suspect handed the teller a note while carrying two bank bags, but ran from the bank before the teller could read the note.
