IRON STATION, N.C. -- A surprise find greeted officials when they arrived to handle a car fire in Iron Station.

Firefighters responded to the 1300 block of L.R. Schronce Lane for a car on fire near a house. They say they found drug paraphernalia inside of the house after putting out the flames.

A narcotics detective then came to investigate. Police say they found a marijuana grow and several large marijuana plants.

Steven Ray Myers, 55, is charged with felonies in the case, including possession of marijuana and manufacturing a controlled substance.

He was arrested and put under a $10,000 secured bond.
