Gastonia school buses target of theft

GASTONIA, N.C. -- The Gastonia Police Department says someone broke into more than a dozen buses at the Webb Street School in Gastonia last week.

According to the police report, sometime between 4 p.m. last Wednesday and 8 a.m. Saturday, someone broke into 13 buses at the Webb Street School in the 1600 block of North Webb Street.

Their target? According to police, the brake knob was stolen out of each of 13 buses.

Unfortunately, there is no surveillance video of the crime.
