ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- A high school student is facing several drug trafficking charges following an undercover operation and after a school resource officer reported finding the teen with heroin.
Austin Hunter Graham, 16, was arrested Thursday at South Rowan High School after the school resource officer found him to be in possession of a "residue amount" of heroin, the Rowan County Sheriff's Office says.
The Sheriff's Office charged Graham with two counts each of trafficking opiates by possession and trafficking opiates by sale.
Authorities say Graham's arrest follows an undercover operation in which Graham allegedly sold Hydrocodone pills to an undercover officer on two separate occasions.
Graham was booked in to the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
