CLOVER, S.C. -- A homeowner’s call to police led to the arrest of the owner’s son and three other people for their allegedly making meth.
The homeowner called police to his house in the 400 block of Stokes Avenue in Clover around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The homeowner called police when a vehicle the owner didn’t recognize pulled up to the house. The homeowner’s son, who does not live in the house, was in the garage at the time.
When officers arrived, they say it appeared the suspects were in the process of or about to start cooking meth. Other agencies responded and recovered evidence.
Investigators say this was a one-pot incident and not an active lab.
The homeowner’s son, 32-year-old Joseph Bennett, along with 32-year-old Wendell Pressley, 28-year-old Brent Love and 29-year-old Jennifer Wilson were each arrested. They are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine in proximity to a school and trafficking pseudoephedrine.
