LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. – A Lancaster man was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for possessing a gun.
United States Attorney, Bill Nettles, said Gary Davis Jr, 24, was sentenced Friday in federal court for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Judge Cameron McGowarn Currie, sentenced Davis to 15 years imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release.
Officials said in November of 2010, Davis failed to stop at a checkpoint. When officials caught up with him they found a handgun in the floorboard and marijuana in the center console.
