Lancaster man killed after drug deal dispute

LANCASTER, S.C. –The Lancaster Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection to a murder that happened earlier this week.

Stanley Reed and Keishawn McManus are charged with the murder of Timothy Wissinger.

According to authorities, Reed and the victim were involved in an ongoing dispute over a drugs.

All three men arranged a meeting on Lamplight Road for a drug deal.  During the meeting, an argument ensued and Reed shot Wissinger.

Deputies say the victim drove away, but ended up crashing into the woods. He was found dead on the scene, the engine was in gear and still running.

Investigators found cocaine and a handgun inside McManus’ home on Friday.  They believe the handgun was used in the homicide.

In addition to Murder, Reed and McManus will also face charges for possession of a weapon during a violent Crime and distribution of cocaine.  McManus will face an additional charge of possession of cocaine.
