CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- A Lincolnton man arrested for allegedly driving a moped while drunk has been sentenced.
The District Attorney’s Office calls Aaron Barkley, 34, a habitual offender.
He was arrested in May 2012 in Maiden for the moped incident. Police say he drove through a driver’s license check point. When he was stopped, officers record a .11 Blood Alcohol Level.
Barkley had been convicted for DWI in three times previously.
A judge sentenced Barkley this week to at least 23 months in jail.
