CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police arrested man accused of burglarizing a woman's east Charlotte home on Tuesday.

Police said a woman returned to her Ashmore Drive home to find it being robbed around 8:30 p.m.

The man saw the woman and quickly ran out of the home, according to police.

The woman was able to flag down an officer who was able to broadcast the description of the suspect to other officers.

Officers with the assistance of a department K-9 were able to locate a man matching the description of the suspect.

The victim was able to positively identify Devashay Walker as the robbery suspect.

Officers also recovered property that was removed from the victim’s home in the area where Walker was arrested.

Walker is charged with robbery and breaking and entering.
