CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man accused of robbing a convenience store and pharmacy in east Charlotte last week.
Police charged Kenneth Rumph with two counts of common law robbery for the incidents.
According to the police report, Rumph entered the Circle K convenience store last Tuesday on Monroe Road and demanded money from the store clerk.
An officer pulled into the store parking lot at the time of the robbery. Rumph saw the officer and ran from the store before he was arrested.
Officers were able to track Rumph down a few moments later and place him under arrest without incident, according to the police report.
Police said during the investigation it was determined that Rumph was the same suspect who robbed the Rite Aid Pharmacy on March 4 off of Monroe Road.
