CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One of two suspects has been arrested and charged for robbing a Charlotte woman as she pulled into her garage.

The woman said Tony Lamar Carthran, 18, entered her garage in the 6500 block of Quarterbride Lane as she pulled in her car on Tuesday.

Police say Carthan and another man threatened her with a gun and demanded money. They fled after allegedly taking her phone and personal items from her car.

Police spotted Carthran soon after. They say he threw a bag of marijuana as they approached but officers arrested him without incident. He is charged for conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony breaking and entering and possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana.

Anyone with more information should call police.
