CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. -- AirStar flew over a scene in Cabarrus County Monday afternoon where authorities had a suspect in custody.

North Carolina Highway Patrol says the motorcycle driver, Sean Brandon Carr, of Kannapolis, was clocked doing 100mph, weaving in and out of traffic on I-485 near the I-85 interchange.

A brief pursuit ensued. Shortly thereafter, officials say Carr got on Bruton Smith Boulevard, laid the bike down in front of Zaxby's and ran into the Hampton Inn.

Carr was located on the second floor of the hotel, and after a short scuffle, authorities tased Carr and took him into custody.

Carr was booked in to the Cabarrus County Detention Center. Highway Patrol tells NBC Charlotte he was also wanted on warrants out of Mecklenburg County and New Jesery.
