CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested a second person in the accidental shooting of a 4-year-old girl.
Police charged Leandre Budden, the boyfriend of the little girl's mother, with failure to store a firearm to protect minors.
The 4-year-old got a hold of the gun and shot herself in an apartment on Davidson Street Monday night.
Police have been searching for Budden since Tuesday.
Both Budden and the girl's mother were charged in the incident. Budden is due in court today.
