CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Friday a judge sentenced a Charlotte man to life in prison after a 2011 robbery and murder.
Eric Everett Blackmon, 27, was convicted of first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon for the May 2011 murder of Miguel Angel Audon Corado, 40.
According to the district attorney’s office, the trial began July 29, in Superior Court. Friday, the jury returned the unanimous verdict around 7:00 p.m.
According to authorities, Blackmon had prior armed robbery convictions and was on post-release supervision after serving a prison sentence at the time he killed Corado.
