NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York City man has been arrested in North Carolina in connection with a 2011 shooting at a house party in which 11 people were wounded, including a 14-year-old girl who was struck in the back and paralyzed.

The Queens district attorney's office says 22-year-old Tyrone Miller was arrested Monday near Charlotte. He's currently awaiting extradition to New York where he'll be arraigned on various charges, including attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities say Miller was at a backyard barbecue in Queens when he got into an argument with another individual. Police say Miller returned to the party with a gun and opened fire on the crowd.

If convicted, Miller faces up to 25 years in prison. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
