LANCASTER, S.C. – Lancaster police arrested three people after they allegedly robbed a Papa John’s Pizza delivery worker by gunpoint Wednesday night.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. at a parking lot in the Chesterfield Manor Apartments complex on South Market Street, according to the police report.
Officers say a woman met the delivery driver and asked him to move to a nearby secluded parking lot to finish the pizza delivery. When the driver met the woman, two masked men emerged and one had a gun.
The alleged robbers took an unidentified amount of money from the worker’s pockets and told him to leave. As the worker was leaving, the female suspect, identified as Shernice Nichole Jones, 21, ran to the driver and asked to leave with him. The pair drove back to the Papa John’s on Highway Bypass West and called police.
Within hours three people, including Jones, were arrested by Lancaster police. Jones is charged with armed robbery and providing false information.
The two masked robbers, Tysheem Sirdon Blackmon, 17, and Dequaintia Jerrell Stradford, 18, were both charged with armed robbery.
