SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Authorities in Puerto Rico have arrested a 76-year-old man and his wife on grand theft charges as they disembarked from a cruise ship in Old San Juan.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says Ronald Smaldone and 57-year-old Sharon Smaldone were arrested late Monday as they arrived from Florida. Spokesman Jeffrey Quinones said in a statement Wednesday that the two live in Weaverville, North Carolina , but are wanted by police in Collier County, Florida.
A spokeswoman for the Collier County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return a call seeking details about the case.
