RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A Raleigh man has been charged with buying alcohol for teenagers who were later involved in a car wreck that killed a 17-year-old girl.
Special agents with North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement say they arrested 21-year-old Anthony Du Juan Geter (GEE'-tur) Friday night and charged him with multiple counts of purchasing alcohol for minors.
They say Geter bought flavored rum from a Wake County ABC store for two teens who were involved in a single-car wreck shortly after. A 17-year-old high school student, Elizabeth Malloy, was killed in the Jan. 7 crash.
Geter was released on a $4,000 bond. A telephone listing could not be found for him Saturday, and it wasn't immediately clear if he has a lawyer.
Investigators say they expect to file more changes in the case.
