GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- Some shocking allegations of animal abuse have been made against a Gaston County resident.
Investigators say they found 11 abused horses and two miniature ponies, all of which were seized from the property in Crouse.
All of them were hungry and in need of medical care, officials tell NBC Charlotte.
Animal Control responded to the home previously in December. They say they warned owner Molly Cate then that she could be arrested if she didn’t take care of the animals.
Cate was given a $26,000 bond.
