Police: Man accused of stealing tobacco, lottery tickets from store

GASTONIA, N.C. -- Gaston County police are searching for a man who is accused stealing tobacco products and scratch-off lottery tickets from a convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Police said a man robbed the Kingsway Store off of Chapel Grove School Road around 1 a.m.

The man entered the store, ran behind the counter and stole tobacco products and scratch-off lottery tickets, according to police.

The suspect in this case was observed on the store’s surveillance cameras behind the counter during the robbery.
