DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Iredell County authorities arrested a man after a high-speed chase on Interstate 77 early Monday morning.

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office said the chase started after they tried to pull over a reported stolen vehicle around 3 a.m. The suspect, 22-year-old Angelo Camburs-Antonio Pozo, of Charlotte, refused to stop and led police on a chase down I-77.

The chase ended after deputies put down stop sticks on I-77 south near exit 30 in Davidson.

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office says Pozo reached 119 mph during the chase in a 65 mph zone.

Pozo refused to get out of the vehicle, so deputies broke the window and tased him, according to authorities.

Pozo was arrested on drug and assault warrants out of Mecklenburg County, as well as new charges of speeding, fictitious tag on the vehicle and resisting a public officer.

Pozo's bond was set at $31,500.
