LENOIR, N.C. -- The search of a home across the street from a middle school turned up nearly 50 grams of crack cocaine, according to police.

Lenoir Police executed a search warrant on an apartment in the 300 block of Harring Street on Wednesday. The home is directly across the street from William Lenoir Middle School.

Officers report finding and seizing 46.8 grams of crack cocaine with a value of $9,360 and just under seven grams of marijuana.

The occupant of the apartment, 24-year-old Joshua Samuel Wright, was arrested and charged with one felony count each of trafficking in cocaine by possession, trafficking in cocaine by manufacture, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, manufacture cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for use, storage or sale of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

He was booked in under a $9,500 bond.

Police say the four-month long investigation into Wright began after several community complaints.
