HICKORY, N.C. -- A man allegedly behind pharmacy robberies across the bi-state area has been taken into custody.
Police arrested Arthur Dale Maynard Jr. Friday morning.
Hickory police named Maynard as a suspect in two pharmacy robberies thanks to tips from the community.
Witnesses also identified him as the man behind various robberies in South Carolina.
After his arrest, police say Maynard confessed to the Hickory incidents, as well as pharmacy robberies in Rock Hill, Columbia, Richland County and Greenville.
Hickory police say they found Maynard with a large amount of opiate based narcotics and cash. He is being held under a $250,000 bond.
