STANLEY, N.C. -- A search for a missing juvenile led investigators to two meth labs in Lincoln County, according to deputies.

Police went to a home in the 5700 block of Country Lane in Stanley on Sunday afternoon to search for the minor.

The homeowner allowed deputies into the residence, the sheriff’s office says. Deputies say they walked in and immediately noticed a chemical odor. The homeowner then allegedly tried to quickly dispose of a two liter bottle, at which point police removed everyone from the home. They say they found several methamphetamine ingredients during a search.

The missing juvenile was found at the house.

An SBI crew is handling cleanup. Narcotics investigators also dispatched to the scene say they discovered evidence of previous meth labs, as well.

One person was arrested. Ashley Hunsucker, 27, is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
