CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are tracking down suspects in two separate copper wire thefts within the last week.
Thieves hit the CSX Railroad location in the 100 block of Ramsey Street at some point between Friday and Tuesday. The burglars made off with about $15,000 worth of copper cables in that incident.
In the same time frame, police say someone stole $2,000 worth of copper wires from an AC unit at the Salvation Army location on Belmont Avenue.
Investigators have not said the incidents are related.
Anyone with information should call police.
