CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a “person of interest” in the murder of Terrence Mingo.

Mingo, 29,  was shot while he was standing in the front of his house Friday night on Old Meadow Road. 
 
The bullet struck him in the chest, causing him to fall and crack his head open, police said. Police initially thought the head wound was also caused by a gunshot.
