ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- Police are asking for the public's help after a store owner was murdered Thursday night.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. at B & G Coins near the intersection of West Main Street and Concord Road.  The murder was the first for Albemarle in 2013.

Surveillance video showed the suspect, a man, knocking on the door to the business and the owner opening the door for him. Police say the store owner was shot and rushed to the hospital where he died late Thursday night.

Friday officials released the photo of a person of interest they'd like to speak with regarding the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Albemarle Police at 704-984-9525.
