DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities have charged a Raleigh man in connection with a head-on collision in Durham County that killed two.
The N.C. Highway Patrol said Friday that Robert Breeden III is charged with two counts of felony death by motor vehicle.
The patrol said Breeden was driving a pickup truck west on N.C. 98 around 5:50 a.m. when the truck drifted over the center line and collided with a car driven by 43-year-old Jorge Avalar of Durham.
Avalar and his 47-year-old brother, Andreas, were killed.
Breeden is being held in the Durham County jail under $500,000 bond. It couldn't be determined whether he has an attorney.
