ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill police are investigating a shooting that injured one man Monday night.

Police said a man and woman returned home from shopping when they were approached by a man wearing all black and shot the victim. The suspect also took the woman's pursue before fleeing the scene.

At 11 p.m., officers responded back to that location in reference to a suspicious person hanging around the house at Haigler Street and neighbors heard glass breaking.

Officers discovered an unknown black man looking out at them from the door and he slammed it shut. The victim was not home at the time.

When officers had cleared the house the suspect had apparently fled through an open back window.  K-9 was called and unable to locate a track, police said.

At this time officers are unable to determine if the two incidents are related or not.

Both incidents are still under investigation.
