CHINA GROVE, N.C. – Authorities are looking for a Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputy they believe to be armed and dangerous on an outstanding arrest warrant for a domestic related crime.

Brian Michael Long, 33, of Kannapolis works with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and is wanted for a misdemeanor stalking charge, according to the China Grove Police Department.

He is believed to still be in the Rowan County area.

Long was suspended with pay on Wednesday pending the outcome of the investigation.

"Anyone involved in a domestic situation of this nature, should be considered armed and dangerous,” said Captain John C. Sifford.  “Anyone having information as to his location should contact 911 immediately.”

Officials believe Long is operating a white GMC Yukon with North Carolina license plates RSL1012.
