Rowan Co. authorities ask for public's help in 2001 cold case

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help to solve a cold case murder.

Marlon Ellis was found dead on Five Row Road in Salisbury back in February of 2001. He had been shot to death, and his body was hidden underneath some brush.
 
The sheriff's department is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest. If anyone has information about this crime they're asked to call 704-216-8700.
