TROUTMAN, N.C. -- A Troutman teen is facing three counts of child sex charges.
On September 8, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit was notified of numerous alleged sexual assaults, that according to the filed report, had taken place over several years.
A detective observed the child victim's interview at the Dove House Child Advocacy Center, then interviewed several family members.
Following the child's medical examination, the detective obtained three felony warrants for 17-year-old Dakota Shane Chambers.
Dakota was arrested on Friday and charged with first degree statutory rape and two counts of first degree statutory sex offense. He was booked in to the Iredell County Detention Center on bonds totaling $250,000.
Additionally, 37-year-old Audrey Lynn Chambers was arrested and charged with one count of felony child abuse. Her bond was set at $35,000.
