DENVER, N.C. -- A traffic stop in Denver netted half a kilo of cocaine and two arrests, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Just after 9 on Tuesday night, a vehicle was pulled over on North NC Highway 16 Business near Sugarwood Lane. Authorities say the three vehicle occupants began acting suspicious, prompting them to seek permission to search the vehicle.

The occupants consented to the search. Deputies reported finding 496 grams of cocaine with a street value up to $100,000.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Mairo Reco Danner, of Claremont, was arrested and charged with one count each of trafficking in cocaine by transport, trafficking in cocaine by possession, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, all felonies.

Passenger Damarius Corday Miller, 26, of Catawba, is charged with trafficking in cocaine by transport, trafficking in cocaine by possession and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

The vehicle's third occupant, an unnamed female, was turned in to officers in an adjacent county.

Danner and Miller were booked in to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $300,000 bond each.
