LENOIR, N.C. -- Caldwell County Sheriff Alan C. Jones announced Wednesday morning the arrest of an accused crack dealer.
Narcotics agents with the Sheriff's Office raided the home of 48-year-old Ronnie Van Perkins on Tuesday.
Ice agents have been surveilling and collecting intelligence on Perkins for some time, officials say.
In the raid, authorities seized more than 50 grams of crack cocaine, valued at more than $10,000, officials say.
Perkins is charged with felony trafficking cocaine and maintain a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance. His bonds total $100,000.
Christopher Lamont Dula, Jr., 26, was present at the home at the time of the raid. He was arrested and charged with resist, delay and obstruct a public officer.
