LANCASTER, S.C. – A Lancaster man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he cut a woman’s face after because she ended the couple’s relationship.
Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile said Willie James Stevens, 29, assaulted the woman after she tried to run away from him, and then chased her, pulled her to the ground and cut her face with a knife.
Stevens was arrested a short time later near Fork Hill Road after fleeing the scene, officials said.
He was charged with assault and battery and was placed behind bars on a $100,000 bond.
The woman was treated on scene by Medic.
