STATESVILLE, N.C. -- The Iredell County Sheriff's Office has charged a Statesville woman with two felony counts of sexual offense with a child.
A report was filed in mid-October regarding the sexual assault of a 10-year-old female that took place several years ago.
The victim was interviewed by detectives at the Dove House Child Advocacy Center. During the interview, the victim described to the detective the nature of the assault and also named a suspect.
Detective Sergeant Amy Dyson interviewed family members as well as the suspect, 25-year-old Adinah Chanel Morrison.
Following the interviews, Morrison was charged with two felony counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child.
She was booked in to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $30,000 bond.
The investigation continues.
