YORK COUNTY, S.C. – The York County Sheriff’s Office has filed an additional 74 charges against the man they say hid cameras in the women’s YMCA locker room.

Officials said on Saturday, John Ross Eddy, 58 of Tega Cay, is facing additional charges after detectives discovered he hid a digital video recorder in the ceiling of the women’s locker room at the Gold Hill branch of the YMCA in Fort Mill.

According to authorities, the victims captured on tape could not be identified.

Earlier this month Eddy was arrested on six counts of peeping, voyeurism/aggravated voyeurism after managers at the YMCA found a small camera in the women’s locker room.

Investigators said although the victim’s could not be identified on tape, they’re being called Jane Doe, there are 40 victim’s listed in this case.

Detectives say Eddy turned himself into authorities on Saturday after the new charges were filed.  He’s being held at the Moss Justice Center in York County.

Under South Carolina Law, the penalty for each charge of peeping voyeurism/aggravated voyeurism is $500 and/or three years in prison.
