CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are baffled by a shooting in the middle of a neighborhood street on Sunday afternoon.
Neighbors tell NBC Charlotte they heard two shots ring out near the intersection of Coker Avenue and Tuckaseegee Road.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the Keith Houston, 23, lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators said they do not have a suspect in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 7094-432-TIPS to speak with Detective Grande.
